New Zealand passenger car sales were up 1.8% in June (9,186) and 3% YTD (47,759). Not much difference as a percentage but most growth is in light commercials, which are up 10.9% for the year. One of the big growth areas in that category is pick up trucks, and they are not counted here. 72,262 used imported cars were also sold YTD so Kiwis can't seem to get enough cars.
