I'm later than other sources with sales from Japan because I like to take out commercial vehicles. The result shows a 5.3% drop in volume, which has been an overall trend for years now. Toyota managed to increase it's share over the 2015 year by 5%, but Mazda and Mitsubishi didn't do so well. The latter has admitted false claims over fuel use which will have affected sales for it and Nissan.
