Sophisticated, Volvo Create Garbage Trucks Without Drivers

Volvo continues to innovate in creating unique products. Latest, Volvo took the waste management company, Renova to build a garbage truck of the future. The purpose of making this car is to deal with waste issues more safely, efficiently, and a better working environment for its officers.
Volvo even claimed that the truck would be a significant solution in lowering the number of garbage collection in the neighborhood. Uniquely, this car also has a feature of "auto pilot" or can run without the help of a driver.
The way is quite simple, Volvo embed technology in the form of sensors and GPS mapping on the truck. This sensor will record the stop points for picking up trash. So the truck initially had to be manually moved through the garbage collection path. Subsequently, on subsequent visits, the mapping system will guide the truck to a stop that is already recorded by the operator so that the truck can then switch to the auto pilot model.
Not dangerous, in auto pilot condition, the truck is able to detect obstacles and find solutions.
For other orders, the truck also has a sensor to stop the vehicle when it detects obstacles. Even this truck will get rid of these obstacles in a safe way.
There is one thing that makes Volvo really sure this new truck will be very safe, namely because of a four-laser sensor called LIDAR and its camera that is able to cover the 360-degree area around the truck. With this truck, the burden of the operator at work and up and down the vehicle will be reduced. Their power was not quickly run out and the stress level can be minimized.
These trucks have beneficial efficiency benefits.
Chief Volvo Truck Technology Officer, Lars Stenqvist confirmed that this truck can provide efficiency benefits. Volvo will soon begin testing this truck next month and will continue on trial to the public streets in late autumn.
However, this truck may still have a number of issues when used in crowded streets. Due to the fact on the ground later the truck had to collide with the traffic flow. For now, research on the garbage truck is still being done to see the impact and effectiveness when the product is actually launched into the market.
